The Collector’s Cupboard – Ravensburger Review

I have lots of Hobbies.   I designed a Creative Craft Room and now I have  boxes, drawers, cupboards, pots all full of interesting items, which can be used to create with.  My main collection is of scissors with variegated threads a close second.  Ravensburger have created a new jigsaw which is close to my heart.  Called The Collector’s Cupboard, it is number 6 in the theme of Curious Cupboards.

When you collect each item is a piece of ‘treasure’.  Collecting is a popular hobby, but if like me you collect a lot of different things, then storage can become somewhat of an issue.

This 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle, shows how the owner of these collections, has stored everything in a cupboard and it is so organised and under control.  You will enjoy completing this puzzle with items including Cornish Kitchenware, buttons, bottles, cameras and stamps stored on the shelves in this amazing jigsaw.

This design is an interesting one to complete as it is so detailed.

About the Artist

The jigsaw’s artwork was designed by Colin Thompson.  Born in London in 1942, Colin has lived in a variety of locations.  These include Mallorca, Great Bernera and more than 25 years in a 300 hundred year old farmhouse near Hadrian’s Wall.   In 1995 Colin moved to Australia where he now lives.  Living with his wife, two dogs and three ducks, in a beautiful valley called The Promised Land.

Colin Thompson is known as a writer and illustrator of children’s books.

So if you are a collector, this jigsaw would be right down your street.
