Recipe – Tray Baked Chicken with Italian Herbs and Garlic (Review)

I was sent a pouch of the new Dolmio Tray Baked Chicken with Italian Herbs and Garlic to review.

Chicken is a firm family favourite at dinner time and we know that serving the same thing week in, week out can get a little boring! So Dolmio’s new range appeals to those who are looking for simple ways to deliver a tasty twist to their midweek chicken meals. The 150g Chicken Tray Bake pouch is perfect for a family of 4, and comes in four great-tasting flavours, including: Italian Herbs & Garlic, Lemon & Roasted Garlic, Sundried Tomato & Basil, Mushroom, Garlic & White Wine. It’s simple and quick to make – spread  the sauce over the chicken and vegetables in an oven-proof tray, cook for 30 minutes and serve with your favourite sides!

This is my version :-

Preheat your oven to Gas Mark 5 (180C)

We do not eat peppers so I made mine using caulilower and broccolli.  It came out lovely.

Take  a couple of cauliflower and broccolli florets and cut up. Place in a saucepan with a sliced carrot and part boil these so they are a little softer.

Place in the bottom of a rectangular baking dish.

Slice a onion and place on the top.

On a chopping board cut your chicken breasts into three and place onto the vegetables.  You can leave whole if you wish but you will need to check the cooking time and ensure chicken is cooked all the way through.

Pour on the Dolmio Sauce.

Place into the oven to cook.   I stirred halfway through to ensure everything was covered with the sauce.

Check after about 30 minutes and if chicken is cooked then remove from the oven.

I served mine with some new potatoes.  This was extremely tasty and I would definitely use again.
