Now that we are coming out of Lockdown, the Summer holidays are upon us, so parents will still have children who will need something to keep them interested. Penguin Beach, a book written by Lawrence Prestidge and illustrated by G. William, could be the option you need to fill a void.

Having read and reviewed Terror at the Sweet Shop, I was excited to learn that Lawrence had a new book out. Aimed at ages 7 – 12, its main character is Clyde – a penguin.
Clyde loves being a penguin and he is the star show at London Zoo’s penguin beach. Everyone loves Clyde, He has an amazing waddle as he walks and his feathers look like a tuxedo. No-one can resist the chars of this loveable character, until Diego arrives from Spain.

What is it that everyone loves about Diego, apart from is back-flips and leaps? Why does he impress everyone?
I will not tell you anymore so if you want to find out about Clyde’s plans to become top spot again and how these plans put Diego in danger, then you need to buy a copy of this laugh out loud book.
Find out about the adventures of Clyde, Diego, Nanya,Preston & Pierce, Yohann,Arthur, Anton, Ray, Bobby and Pam, the residents of Penguin Beach.
I managed to get a copy to my Grandson who is 7, and he is really enjoying reading this. He enjoyed reading Terror at the Sweet Shop too.

The writing on the pages is of a suitable print for the ages of children it is aimed at. Chapters are concise and the illustrations break up the story to add fun. Excellent reading for the Summer break.
Produced by Matedor it is a children’s novel at a RRP of £7.99 ISBN is 976-1-83859-486-2 It is available to be purchased from Amazon.
