Easter Weekend Bake ….. Sultana Scones

10oz self raising flour
1oz unsalted butter
3 1/2 oz of caster sugar
1 egg
170ml of milk
2 oz sultanas

Heat over to gas mark 6/7 and prepare a baking sheet to put the scones onto.

Put the flour into a large bown and rub in the butter and caster sugar until forming breadcrumbs.   Add the sultanas.
Beat the egg and stir in with a little of the milk.    Continue to stir and add milk slowly until the mix forms a dough.

Roll out on a floured board to 2cm thick and cut into rounds or whatever shape you would like.

Cook for 10 – 15 minutes until golden brown.   Leave to cool and serve with butter or jam & Cream.
