Preheat oven to Gas Mark 7.
Into a bowl weigh 225g of Self Raising Flour and 50g of Butter.
Rub together to make breadcrumbs.
Add 4 tablespoons of caster sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon or mixed spice.
Peel and core an apple and cut into small pieces. Add to the dry mixture and stir in.
Pour in 125ml of milk and make into a dough.
Sprinkle some flour onto your worktop or board and put the scone dough on. Pat until about 1/2 inch thick.
Using a cutter cut as many scones as you can until your dough is used up and place them onto a baking tray. I line mine with greaseproof paper.
Cook for about 15 – 20 minutes or until brown on the top depending on size of scones you have made.
Leave to cool.
Serve with butter and stewed apple or lovely on their own.
